Rules during Sailing.
- The engine is easy to control using the throttle and tiller. The throttle can be used to move both forward and backward.
- A fire extinguisher can be found in the designated spot. It is only allowed to be used in case of a fire. In such an event, immediately call the fire department and notify Terrasboot.
- Safety is the top priority, do not take risks.
- Always sail starboard (right) at a speed that does not create bothersome waves. Always adhere to the maximum speed limits of 4.5 km per hour, which apply in and around the Utrecht Canals.
- Commercial shipping (including Harbour Service, tour boats) always has the right of way.
- Make it clear to others in which direction you are sailing. Approach bridges in such a way that you are visible to potential oncoming traffic.
- It is prohibited to operate a vessel under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
- You may not dock to trees, under or on bridges, and at places where it is indicated by a prohibition sign.
- Amplified sound is not allowed on the boats and/or dock.
- There are residents around the water. Respect their privacy. Do not cause nuisance on the water or at departure/return from the Terrasboot dock.
- Make sure that the boat is returned clean and tidy. If this is not the case, an amount of the deposit may be withheld.
- Ensure that the boat is returned on time. If this is not the case, all incurred costs and lost income will be charged to you.
- Terrasboot is not liable for damage to the boat or damage to (possession of) third parties.
